Jessica Jablon Rubin is an Associate practicing litigation at Schaeffer Venaglia Handler & Fitzsimmons, LLP. Ms. Rubin’s practice focuses on representing clients in the pharmaceutical, restaurant and hospitality and insurance industries. Her experience covers mediation, arbitration and the various stages of litigation in state and federal courts, including all aspects of discovery, motion practice and trial. Ms. Rubin also counsels employers on various employment law issues, including wage and hour questions and compliance with discrimination laws. She has also conducted and counseled clients with respect to numerous internal investigations of alleged employee misconduct.
Recently, Ms. Rubin had an active role in the firm’s representation of a large pharmaceutical company in a series of actions relating to pharmaceutical pricing brought by third-party payors nationwide. Prior to joining Schaeffer Venaglia Handler & Fitzsimmons, LLP, Ms. Rubin was associated with the law firm of Dornbush Schaeffer Strongin & Venaglia, LLP in New York, and before that she served as an Associate in the Litigation group at Shipman & Goodwin LLP. There, she represented a wide range of clients in commercial litigation and employment law matters.
Ms. Rubin obtained her Juris Doctor in 2006 from Washington University School of Law, where she served as an Executive Notes Editor of the Washington University Law Review and was selected for Order of the Barristers. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in 2003 from Cornell University, where she graduated with distinction in all subjects.
Ms. Rubin is a member of the State Bars of New York and Connecticut and is admitted to practice before the Southern District of New York.
